Location Map:

Driving from the airport
Follow the signs out of the rental car park for France. Having crossed out
of Switzerland into France, follow the signs to Chamonix Mt Blanc. Excellent
instructions can be found at chamonix.net
or you can get more details from services such as mappy.com
and multimap.com.
For up to date traffic reports also try using frixo.com
The chalet is not located in Les Houches village but behind the train station in Servoz, and when you are making your way to the chalet you should look for signs for a village called ‘Servoz’, which is the first turning after the first tunnel as you come up the road on stilts to Chamonix, approximatley 10 kms before Chamonix town centre. As you turn off on your right, cross back over the road on a bridge (to the left which then cuts back on itself), go under a railway bridge and the chalet is just on the right after the first turning on the right.
Driving from England
Expect the 550 mile trip from Calais to take about 8 to 9 hours. Excellent
route planning advice can be found at chamonix.net.
If you're looking for a place to stop enroute then try Troyes, (pronounced Trois), a stunning old French town which has recently undergone an extensive restoration.
